Author Interview – Ethan McKenzie

What inspired you to write your first book?As “Secrets and Lies” is my first book with co-author, Natashiah Jansen, I was inspired that my co-author also likes what I like in suspense and thriller story. This actually influences me a lot so as to create this first of book of ours.

Did writing this book teach you anything and what was it? Writing this book actually taught me that I need to be consistent with my thoughts and be responsible to my readers. They are the one who are going to enjoy my works and I need to be my best for them.

Do you intend to make writing a career? Yes, I intend to make writing fictional novel a career as I like being carefree as a bird in the sky.

Have you developed a specific writing style? As for writing style, I did not have any unique style… This one style I think is to write a story so that my readers enjoy it and wanting to read more of my works. Style is simplistic and easy to read.

Have you ever had writer’s block? If so, what do you do about it? Of course, I do have writer’s block. If I encountered that, I would drop my writing and go for a swim to clear up my stress and confusion. This will often leads to me coming back with a more interesting and sometimes ending the story with a transforming twist.
